This is my 3rd time back to SLO and I'm proud to say I've never had to look for a restaurant beyond Jaffa. This place is legit, I wish more restaurants operated like this, consistent quality and service.
Not sure if they're the owners behind the grill, but they're doing all of the things right. I highly recommend this place. Fresh ingredients, what I assume is homemade salsas, and at a very reasonable price for the portion size you get. -

Got their gyro plate today, and will never return. The gyro meat was horrible! There was like a burnt, over cooked layer of skin tasting crap over every bite. Clearly it had been sitting out for a while, and not tended to properly while rotating.
I also don't think their ice cream maker will ever work again. -

Nestled in between two restaurants on Monterey Street, is the Mediterranean grill, Jaffa Café. There are three Jaffa restaurants on the central coast that we have visited. Our lunch at this location was a bit disappointing. The service was poor, the employees seemed indifferent and unhappy being there. In addition, the walls looked dirty, and our table had a sticky substance all over it. The sauce bar looked uninviting, so we did not use any of the five available. One thing we are particular about is cleanliness in an establishment.
The basics of the meal were fine, however the meat in both of our dishes was a bit overdone. The grilled veggies were plentiful & delicious. The portion of tabbouleh was very small compared to their other two locations; it was cleverly placed on top of some chopped lettuce, so the portion looked larger than it was.
We are fond of their food, so we would return to this location one more time to see if the lack of cleanliness was not the usual case. This location has a lot of potential. -

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is so fresh and yummy. And they have amazing baklava which is hard to find in other places. I definitely recommend it. Check it out.

This place was great! It is in a nondescript strip mall with other restaurants that we've tried. Thought it was gonna be just ok but it exceeded my expectations. Went with the family and got the mixed plate with grape leaves, hummus, and babaganough. Comes with pita stuffed with a garlic spread that was delicious. A few peopl got the gyro which was pretty good--standard but well prepared. Someone got the lamb kabobs plate, which came with 2 large kabobs. Falafel is excellent! Crispy and perfectly soft inside. Everything was great and they give large portions. The sauces on the side that you serve yourself is a nice touch too
